Dionne Walters- Fashion Model

When Dionne Walters went to a model call and interview in Montgomery Alabama for Tyra Banks America’s Top Model television show, she received a call saying that they wanted her to come to Atlanta for a call back. She went there and met the casting director Michelle Mock, needless to say she beat out 13,000 other aspiring young ladies to be one of the 13 chosen to appear on cycle 8 of the television show in Los Angeles. During her stint on Top Model she walked the runway for designers in Australia and she shot a National print ad for Keds Shoes while building her portfolio. Since making it to the top four of Cycle 8 Dionne has returned to Montgomery to lend her time and experience to many great projects, fashion shows and events that raise awareness for several civic and social organizations.

She spent the summer in fashion shows like the River Region Black Expo Style Experience, The Allure of Style Show and the more. She is currently negotiating several endorsement deals with boutiques, clothing designers and national ad campaigns. This dedicated mother and college student hopes her experience will inspire others to pursue their dreams no matter how far it seems.

75 Power Driving Afflulent African-American Women headed by Margie Lee, wife of ASU President Joe Lee and Sandy Osborne began their first lesson at the Back-9 Golf Learning Center where Lee fell in love with the game. On Jan. 27, the women held their first charter meeting at Arrowhead Country Club with 42 in attendance. The women selected the club’s officers, which currently consist of president Margie Lee, vice president Essie McGhee, secretary Hattie Robinson, treasurer Sandy Osborne, and parliamentarian Patricia Elliott. They also voted the club name "Driving Force Golf Club," which was later amended to "Driving Force Women’s Golf Club."To improve its golf skills, Driving Force held three golf clinics — two at Gateway Golf Course and one at Lagoon Park Golf Course — and had additional learning opportunities available at the Back-9 Golf Learning Center and Gateway Golf Course. The ladies of Driving Force Golf Club have created quite a buzz around town as the premiere Golf Association for Women of Color. Most recently they were seen volunteering at the Calhoun Foods Celebrity Golf Tournament and the Navistar Womens LPGA Tour at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Course in Prattville, which recieved huge national press and has a 3 year commitment to the River Region. The Golf Club’s membership is expected to increase to 100 by the end of the year.

Kyle officially joined the WSFA 12 Sports team in August of 2007, but he is no stranger to WSFA or the sports team. Kyle interned with WSFA 12 in 2005 where he caught the fever immediately tagging along with John, Derek, and Jeff during football season. It wasn’t long after that when Kyle landed his first on air job as the weekend sports anchor at WSFA’s sister station WDAM TV in Hattiesburg, Ms. He served as the weekend sports anchor for 8 months, then was promoted to the weeknight sports anchor. He held that position for 3 months before WSFA gave him a ring. From there it was history. Kyle says that the decision was an easy one seeing as though he is an Alabama State Graduate (class of "06"), his last name is Montgomery, and he considers Montgomery his second home. Kyle is originally from Kansas City, KS (Huge Chiefs Fan!!!) and says that his love for sports began at age 5 playing T-ball for his dad. He went on to play football, baseball, and basketball all the way through high school and still claims that he should be in the NBA right now. Kyle and his wife Cambreisha are expecting a baby boy named Makhi Jay due on October 23rd. The Montgomery’s are happy to rejoin the Montgomery community with their new addition.

John Carter- Entertainment Entreprenuer
CEO- A Team Management

Created in 2003 by a couple of Montgomery natives, president John Carter and friends had a mission to create a management consultant firm that specialized in helping amateur and professional talents, that had a calling in music, modeling and sports but needed help in entering into the entertainment industry. The Team’s main vision is to help their clients with promotion, marketing, and getting their talent out to the masses. A Team has developed into greatness over the last past years by working with MTV in their Choose or Lose Campaign and BET College Tour in Montgomery, not to mention that they have worked with several record companies such as Def Jam, Warner Brothers, BME, Rap-A- Lot, and Rowdy Records. As far as their model division A Team has gotten their sexy on with the help from Tyson Modeling Group and Enicity Modeling Company to help expand their models. If you think A Team Management is too Hollywood to be a Montgomery establishment think again because A Team has also contributed to making Montgomery a better place and making residents aware of health related issues, by teaming up with the Sickle Cell Foundation, NAACP, AIDS Outreach, and the Cancer Society. A Team is always looking to venture out with new clients, but as for right now they are anxiously working on their American Dream Models calendar, their sports division and producer/ songwriter Dallas Austin TV show. As of today there is no other management consultant firm in the South that’s holding it down like A Team, if you ask President John Carter who is his biggest competition he’ll tell you Violator, which might I add is a East Coast region management consultant firm. “When our vision reach’s it’s maximum potential they definitely will be a future competition.”
